There is an updated photo tour of Kopsick Arboretum submitted in February 2006.
Located next to North Shore pool complex in St Petersburg, the Kopsick is free to visit and park. They have a very nice collection of 200 palms representing 45 different species despite being only 2 acres. The photo shows the entryway from the parking lot.

Red Latan Palm (Latania lontaroides).

Caryota rumphiana.

Blue Latan Palm (Latania loddigesii).

Three large silver Bismarckia nobilis.

Until you see one for yourself, you cannot appreciate just how large this juvenile African Oil Palm (Elaeis guineensis) is and how large it will become as it grows. This palm gives many Attaleas a run for their money in the size department.

Becoming huge, Corypha utan on the left, farther down the pathway are three Arenga pinnata of various sizes.

Copernicia baileyana.

Sabal mauritiiformis.

Syagrus sp.

A rather small Copernicia macroglossa with a Dypsis decaryi (triangle palm) setting seed not too far behind.

King Alexander and Piccabeen hybrid.

Copernicia alba mixed with larger Cuban Royal Palms (Roystonea regia).

Livistona rigida.

The always leafy Livistona saribus.

Tall form coconut palms (Cocus nucifera).

Wide angle view at the center.

Livistona decipiens and multiple Bismarckia nobilis.

Bottle Palms (Hyophorbe lagenicaulis).
